23 , 2009 - Ann Patchett Named Bexley Community
Book Club's 2010 Selected Author |

Award-winning writer Ann Patchett will be the
2010 Selected Author for Bexley
Community Book Club (BCBC), an initiative
of The Bexley Education Foundation (BEF). Patchett,
whose novel Bel Canto is an international
bestseller and has been translated into 30 languages,
will appear in Bexley on April 14, 2010. On
that day, Patchett will conduct interactive
discussions with Bexley High School students,
will attend a dinner with Bexley Community Book
Club sponsors at Giuseppe's Ritrovo, and will
give a public lecture and book signing at 7:30

of Tobias Wolff as Community Prepares for Wolff's
Visit to Bexley April 27 |

On March 17, local authors Kyle Minor, Okla
Elliott and Richard Ashbrook, who is Capital's
Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, will
consider Wolff's short stories - as well as
their own - in a panel discussion that will
take place in the Weiller Conference Suites
on the second floor of Capital's Campus Center,
745 Pleasant Ridge Avenue. The panelists will
make short presentations followed by questions

Readers are invited to discuss the memoirs of
Tobias Wolff on Wednesday, November 12 from 7
to 8:30 p.m. in the café at Barnes &
Noble Booksellers at Easton. Wolff is 2009 Selected
Author for Bexley Community Book Club (BCBC),
a program of the Bexley Education Foundation that
seeks to encourage reading and lifelong learning.

Club's selected author for 2008, will speak at
Bexley High School's Schottenstein Theatre on
Wednesday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. Hamill
is a legendary New York reporter and editor who
has published 21 books, many of them best-sellers.
